WoP linux dedicated server text mode

Hi all,
I have a question about starting WoP in linux dedicated server mode.
Is it possible to stare WoP dedicated server from command line and without the graphic mode ? I wouldn't to use the graphic libraries.
I have an old pc and I would like to use it to house a WoP dedicated server. I would to start WoP in background mode (as a daemon) with the X server switched off.

Someone else already asked this in the german forum, have a look at this.
As you might don't speak german, I'll translate the main part. 

Inside your WoP installation-folder there is a file called wopded.
Start it with these parameters (that's just an example):


Basically, all serverconfig from there on is quite the same as for a q3-server, so these pages may also help you: 1, 2.
There are also some default configs inside your wop-folder, have a look at them too

whats the difference between wopded and wop ? I normally start a server using the command
wop +dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg

should i use wopded instead?

AFAIK the wop-executable requires a working OpenGL system and propably X too.
wopded runs without any graphics-librarys.

If your PC has OpenGL both should work just fine, but I think wopded uses less ressources.
